The player at MP3 seems to be a tight aggressive player as
I did not see him playing much and whenever he enters a pot, he raises. $0.25/$0.50 Limit Hold'em (9 Handed) Pre-flop: Hero is MP2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 4 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, Button 3-bets, 2 folds, Hero calls. I thouht of capping it here, but I figures his reraise means AA-QQ, or AKs. So I just called. Flop 6.5SB, 2 players) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Hero bets, Button calls. Turn 4BB, 2 players) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Hero bets, Button raises, Hero calls. Even though he did not show much aggression in flop, he raised in Turn so I just called here even though my hands now improved to 2 pairs. River 8BB, 2 players) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. Final pot: 10BB Any comments on all streets are appreciated. Thank you! |

If you have enough of a read to put him on QQ+/AKs only, I play this as WA/WB. Betting the flop may let QQ/KK off cheaply while putting in excess money if you're crushed by AA.

How strong was your read on this guy? Number of hands on which you're basing your assumptions? Reason for assigning him such a tiny 3-bet range?

Played this way, I would ghey bet the turn a lot.
You don't think he goes 3-bets w/ TT or JJ or AQ, etc? |

How aggressive is this guy? Based on his play, it looks like he has a King in his hand, and based on your read you are either chopping or drawing to 2 outs. Get to the river as cheaply as possible.

I do the same. Turn raise from villain looks odd so maybe he's slowplaying something, or something. I don't know - but it's odd. Hand is too good to fold and raising costs too much if you're behind so I'd call same as this.

preflop: CAP! There's no reason to put the button on such a tight range. Lots of folks in that situation are looking to fold the blinds and get heads up with the raiser. flop: fine. turn: reraise. Lead river if he just calls, c/c river if he caps. |

I would have capped preflop.
Flop fine Turn I would re-raise. If you are only behind to a set at the moment, and you didnt read him to 3-bet 55 or 66 pre flop then you need to consider if he has AA or KK. With you showing strength I would have expected him to raise the flop bet with Aces so I would doubt he has that. If he had capped the turn I would think he had KK and would check/call the river. If he called the turn re-raise I would put him on a straight draw with QJ or a Ax/Kx and would bet out at the river |

Your range is to narrow. A tight aggressive will 3-bet with more than that.
I think the flop is a check-raise as you have a pretty strong hand. The only part of his range that you are behind is 1 combo of AA. I cap if he 3-bets. Given that you didn't check-raise the flop, I check-raise the turn. |
