Bet the flop.
I don't hate the river play. It's pretty much impossible to tell without any information about your opponent, but I'm sure he can see there's three hearts on the board. |

Fold preflop without read on MP1?
Call the river, hoping for overcall from SB. Following the raise, SB will fold anything you are beating, MP1 likely to three bet if beating you, and may fold if beaten as concerned about the flush. |

I'm betting the flop. Not necessarily because I think we can find the folds, but because we have a lot of outs + we can take a turn freebie a lot of the time.
I think the river is fine. I don't like his three bet but there's too much to fold, IMO. |

Anyone here just calling preflop? [/ QUOTE ] No. I'd just call the river, and I'd fold if SB checkraised. Rob |

** GRUNCH **
PF: Nice preflop raise. Would do the same. FLOP: I don't understand a reason for the check. I am betting here. TURN: Raise and cap, obviously. RIVER: Hmmmm ... I am not sure I want to raise here. I would heads-up, but SB was drawing to somehting here and might just hit it. I'd call, but raise/call here is reasonable too. |

bet the flop. i actually think that, having not bet the flop, we may be able to feel better (even if not great) about calling the river (more discussion later) but it depends on what SB and MP+1 think about our lack of a continuation-bet - do they see this as us being tricky with a monster or being weak with AK or something? i know i usually assume my opponents are being silly with top set or something but the T95 flop is pretty crappy-looking for AK and it's totally possible that we were getting check/raised by T9, QT (given the turn), T5 on this flop to begin with. the chance of these hands is smaller after villain doesn't slow down on the scary river, but cannot be totally discounted.
on the river, i mostly thought what entity said - the pot is too large to fold to a three-bet and we're probably just as likely to get SB to call if s/he accidentally made two pair or something so we really only run into trouble while raising bc we definitely don't get them to call two bets with a hopeless hand. if SB was drawing and hit, we may get check/three-bet and if we choose to call we will practically KNOW that we are beaten. if SB check/raises and MP+1 calls, i'd still probably call because i think players might do this sometimes with a set (or even a smaller straight) often enough but it definitely sucks. as played isn't terrible, especially if you have a read that MP+1 is really aggressive and/or color-blind . btw, if MP+1 made a flush, i think they played it well on the river but there's not a big difference unless SB will call our single bet before getting check/raised. bbbushu |

With a GSSD to the nuts and 2 overcards, you should bet the flop unless you think you are very likely to be c/r - also, even though you never take it down with a bet here, you can often knock one villain out and you may be able to take a free card.
