with 90k in savings it sounds like you have plenty of money for living expenses so your not blowing your rent money or anything , just having too much cash around.
Open a separate regular checking account for your poker money. I have mine in a business account under a DBA ("doing business as"). Keep your cash there and attach your neteller to that account for moving your money on and off line. Separate accounts, statements etc. help you focus on that money as segregated for poker and not loose cash laying around. When you want to spend some of that money you withdraw it, debit card etc and its a financial transaction for a purchase, not just spending cash. |

Discipline. That's all. Don't touch your casino roll for anything but the casino. Don't touch your "regular" roll for gambling. You have plenty of money, just don't go overboard with this "baller" lifestyle. Personally I'd go "baller" only with casino profits. Think of it as a treat for winning.

i have a profitable job.. so when i get paid should i put half to my bankroll and half to my regular roll? [/ QUOTE ] That would be a pretty good way to lose a lot of money pretty fast. One of the main reasons for building your roll strictly off your poker play is to ensure you're not playing over your skill level. If you artificially inflate your roll, you'll be tempted to play at levels higher than your skill dictates. Think of your bankroll as experience points in a RPG, you need the points to move up levels. Just try to work on progressively moving up. Once you realize that you are stunting your growth from "stealing" from your roll, you'll stop. I'd be much more tempted to take from my savings than my bankroll. Hope this helps. |

Unless he's just doing it for fun and wants to look like a 'baller'. He just needs to realize how much he needs to move up a level. He hasn't set that mark. Not sure if he's even set a mark for his current level. Gotta start somewhere. But it also sounds like he needs to learn basic money management and not just poker bankroll management. b |

do not waste UR energy with "bankroll management"
U can always replenish UR bankroll with the income U make from UR regular job---UNLESS U frequently play at limits that will quickly deplete UR income from UR regular job! HappyPokering, SittingBull |
