I would take the free card. He obviously has something after calling your large continuation bet. He limped from utg which could mean quite a few things in a 5.50 turbo. Whats the worst that can happen if you check? You hit your ace or king and have a decision if he bets or you hit your flush and break him.

my problem with checking is that he could push, or bet making me pot comitted.

probably best to check here, but what if he bets? He most liklely has a J on this board, so I'd only have about a 33% chance to win.

You bumped and answered your own question?

It's a simple question of odds. If he bets 300, you call. If he bets 800, you fold.

However, I think your flop bet was a bit too big. The pot is so big on the turn that I'm not sure what to do. At a higher buyin, I'd just shove the turn since I really don't want to fold this hand. At a 5.5, I guess I'd check assuming that these players are unlikely to shove the turn.

This doesn't make sense. You have position on villain and a check closes action.

If villain checks turn, clear check behind. If they bet the turn, its an odds question.

This big mistake you made on this hand was the flop.
There are three ways you can play big draws on the flop
1. Open shove
2. Bet-3betAI
3. CRAI

Here open shoving is overkill as your stack is 4x the pot.
Bet-3betAI isn't terrible, but if you do it you need to make a donkish bet like 1/3rd the pot so you are more likely to induce a raise you can succesfully three bet if raised, and you can keep the pot smaller if you are called. Your bet basically acts as an openshove as the only hands that raise your PSB would call and openshove and if someone flat calls a PSB you are stuck in a really [censored] turn spot.

3. This is the best line in this hand and the stack sizes are perfect for it CRAI. If it checks through it doesn't matter much and you have good FE over a check shove and your check shove is for about the pot.
