Default Question re: sunglasses and timing

For those of you who wear shades at the table, but only when you're in a hand (a la Raymer):

What's your habit of when you put them on? Every hand you decide to play, even if you're just limping into a family pot? Only when you call/raise a significant amount? As soon as you become a blind? Yeah I know its a dumb question but I'm just curious...thanks.

This is the funniest post I have ever heard of. But, my response would be that if your glasses are such that you can't see out of them very well, replace them. You shouldn't have to take them off when your not in the hand, let alone you may misread the board if this is the case.

Only put the shades on when you have pocket aces or pocket kings.

I don't think it matters. You'll look like a dork either way. The days of shades being cool at the table have passed. Basically it was July and August of '03...

Your eyes don't give away as much as your hands, mouth, voice and betting patterns. And also any deviation from how you do things such as which hand you usually bet with, but change hands when you bluff. Things like that.

If you want to wear shades, keep them on all the time. If you start taking them on and off, you might give away a tell.

Also, I notice some dorks wear shades that I CAN SEE THEIR EYES THRU because they aren't tinted dark enough

You also have to becareful that they aren't too dark. You'd give away tells if you have to keep standing up and moving your face closer to see the flop with two [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and one [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] because you aren't sure if you have a flush draw or a backdoor flush draw

Some pros wear them, but mostly it's newbies or experienced players who didn't get the memo...

I've started trying to bring shades to put them on when in a hand against someone who wears shades :-)

You ain't leaving donkville anytime soon if you are worried about when you should wear your shades at the poker table...

I believe in the power of the shade. First time I wore them through most of a big tournament I won it. I must have some serious tells otherwise.

The first time I wore shades in a poker room I tripped over a cocktail waitress when I was on the way to the men's room.... I haven't worn them since (at least when sober)... not to mention that 99.25% of all players that wear them inside look like dorks....
