Default The President Casino, St.Louis

Anyone ever been here before? Thinking of making a trip here this weekend for some poker and strip clubs. Anyone have a review of this place?

I was there briefly about a year ago - - it was the "pits"
Good poker action at Harrahs and Ameristar on the Missouri River on the west side of town.

When I was there a couple years ago, they offered a 2-10 spread limit game, it's been awhile so I'm sure that's changed. If your serious about poker and want a variety of games.. I would hit up the Ameristar in St. Charles, not very far from Download St. lou. ..... They have a descent sized room and I think it's a really nice casino.

It's in St. Charles... If your heading on the I, from KC, it's right before you get to St. Louis, right before the bridge of the Miss. can't miss it.

I played there once a few months ago. Total crap-hole, the only game spread while I was there was 4-8 limit with 1 and 2 blinds... apparently the casino wanted higher limits, and the players wanted lower blinds, so they compromised to this ridiculous game.

The boat is a craphole. Some casinos ooze class or positive vibes; the Prez just oozes. The drinks are watered down, the waitresses are ugly, the poker "room" is in the otherwise-vacant bottom floor, next to the coat-check area. The tables are grimy, the chips are sticky, the floor tilts... and the games are absolutely the softest I've ever played.

Oh, and watching pit boss Leroy berate some young drunk makes for an entertaining sideshow.

Sounds just like the Biloxi version. Katrina had enough, obviously.

played the 4/8 in october for an afternoon. The boat sucks but really, who cares. Without a car I could get there on their metro system in 10 minutes from our hotel near the baseball stadium and the game was really soft.

Yes. Don't forget that the strip clubs are located just across the Mississippi in lovely Sauget, IL. No strip clubs around Harrah's/Ameristar.
