It looks like the House of Representatives is a lock to have a Democratic Party majority after the elections tomorrow and there's a decent chance the Democratic Party will control the Senate as well. Congratulations for the victory as I wouldn't have thought it a probable one a year ago. The "stay the course" policy of the administration regarding Iraq has been successfully campaigned against. I suppose that's a good thing since the public wants a change. Now the direction of that war will be debated and the new Congress will seek to implement a new policy. What will be the agenda for the new Congress? TIA for comments.

If 30% is a decent chance, yes, thats in the real world for the Senate. I generally dont like to enter hands when Im dominated though.

I have a $100 bet. Dems win both, i win, Reps retain both, i lose, split is a push. I love betting on the future of the free world.
I made $$$ when Arnold won in Cali, and lost my shirt when Kerry lost in 04 |

I believe we'll win the house. I have no idea what's gonna happen in the senate. I'm gonna be real tense for the next 36 hours.

[/ QUOTE ] Even I don't consider myself a Democrat, I really want them to win; so, tense is about right; I do have a bad feeling though when the elections are this close, they tend to go Republican because of the Diebold effect. |

On behalf of Politics Forum Dems, I'm trying not to count those chickens, but I'm certainly making sure I know where the roost is at. I'll still feel bummed if we don't take the Senate, but there will definately be a gloating thread if we take the House.
