Default Pot Control with JJ vs. known 2p2\'er

In my pursuit to become a better player and moving up to 100NL, I am trying to break the weak-tight mold, which is creating other leaks in my game. Here is a hand against another known 2p2'er .

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $24.95
Hero: $98
CO: $80.45
Button: $192.10
SB: $118.25
BB: $38.35

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $3.5</font>, CO folds, Button calls, 2 folds.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($8.5, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $7</font>, Button calls.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($22.5, 2 players)
Hero ???

I am conflicted for these two reasons.

1) A weak bet will probably get me pushed off my hand.
2) A strong bet will bloat the pot. I want to show this down, preferably for a near pot bet on the river.

Which line do you take, check or bet and if bet what is the bet size?
