Big chip lead, how do you wield the big stack??

I notice that I don't play big chip stacks very well. I think I just don't really know how to take advantage of it. I think its because I've read books like HOH that help you go deep in a tournament with more or less conservative play, but if for some reason I stumble on a large chip stack, I am sort of clueless in how to accumulate any more chips. I was just wondering if someone could point out some generic tips on how to build a large stack further. thanks.
