Default Very simple QQ checkup

Villian is a total unknown he just sat down.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $166.90
UTG+1: $122.85
Hero: $187.15
Button: $96
SB: $192.40
BB: $109.40

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $3.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $12</font>, 2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($25.5, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $17</font>....

The plan being to bet/fold and give him credit for AA/KK/TT. If he's got JJ, oh well.

I play it the same. I tend to give credit to 3-bets against unknowns.

I usually check/call in these overpair situations all day and reevaluate turn

Another option is to c/c this flop. Most times c/f turn.

What's your line if he calls? Are you ever seeing a showdown here?

This is what I used to do as well. I'm trying to get over my aversion to bet/folding.

i dont see what bet folding rly does. I used to do it a lot. I guess it stops us being 2 barrelled off the best hand. I guess adds some protection. But it rly loses a bit of value i feel

Is this a case of turning the hand into a bluff?

I thought c/c was standard in this situation...?
