typical 10/20 game. some passive fish limps in the co, button folds, you hold A2o or A3o in the SB and you know if you limp in the BB is unlikely to raise. whats your standard play here? assume BB is a LAG/TAG but wont raise.

Raise if the BB is capable of folding; limp otherwise.

One of the few places I like to limp.

LIMP NO MATTER WHAT. Raising is the ultimate spew play.

raising here is pretty bad, IMO. call if button is bad enough, fold otherwise.

I used to call here a lot.
jeffage convinced me to start raising in these spots a lot more often w/ hands much worse than Axo. getting it HU vs. a weak limper whos likely to play predictably postlop w/ some dead money in the pot and the initiative is usually a good thing. really depends on the loose/tightness of bb but raising isn't as bad as the "spew" that some are making it out to be. - jeff |

i'd limp with A9 or less. AT could go either way. AJ+ is definately a raise.

I'm raising a lot less than A9 from the SB after 1 fishy limper, typically any 2 broadway, and any A5s+, any pair 77 or bigger.

steve I would say this is a bad time to raise regardless of how good the bb is.
only if bb is way way overtight and you have a rock solid read on the limpers play would I consider raising. |
