Sandia, Albuquerque, NM 10/13 - 10/15...who\'s with me?
Went out to play in LA a while back and this is my first trip back to my "home" casino this upcoming weekend...any of the regulars gonna be around for a drink? Anyone new?

Hi. I've lurked here for about a year but have never signed up to post. I figured I would post since I have recently moved to Albuquerque and have started playing regularly at Sandia and it would be nice to meet a real live competent player in my town (well not "live", but you know!). I usually play $4-8 Omaha and Hold'em and occasionally $1-2 NL. The Omaha game is one of the best games I've found anywhere. It's almost like printing money. I moved from Boston where I played exclusively online and it's a welcome surprise to see how poorly people play here. Nothing like it online. I will be at Sandia on Saturday and Sunday and most likely Monday as well.

That's my regular digs nowadays, and even though Summer tourist season has ended, the little poker community up there is cruisin' along... We even count amongst our regulars a WSOP Bracelet Winner!!! (Maybe we don't need no stinkin' state champs!!! [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] just kidding!!) I can't make 'Burque this week, but do need to get back up there sometime. At the end of this month I'm driving to KC, and will hit some casinos along the way. Have you been to Winstar in OK? Good luck this weekend!!!

I live in Amarillo, but make the flight out regularly. The resort treats me right...gorgeous suites to boot [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] That being said, it'd be great to meet another 2+2'er and I'll be there Fri afternoon thru Monday morning, so look for the long-haired kid playing either 1/2 or 2/5 NL. The 1/2 is incredibly soft. 5 of my last 9 sessions I've cashed over $2k each...well worth it. Gimme a "sup bro" and I'll buy ya a round at the bar. -SFC (Eddie)

Yes, I have played at Winstar, once, and really didn't like it. Just felt a little to cramped and such, but it was only a 1-day trip, so who knows... Is your "SFC" for Sergeant First Class? I'm in the Air Force here at Kirtland AFB (1Lt, Air Force Research Laboratory). Yeah, there's money to be made at the NL games, but they've been pretty aggressive the few times I've played and I usually prefer the lower volatility of limit. If I had any ambition, I'd be in those games all the time.

And yup, that was the episode that I was referring to, pc. TYVM. It's been almost 3 months since I've been able to play live (at least there's been online) so I am very much chomping at the bit to play, so-to-speak. see you this wknd bonovox and pc, yes soon!
