not who I'd vote for in an AP method
not any ranking equation from what i've seen with my very own 2 eyes took my name out of the title as it was too egotistical and tdarko did a better job at carrying the last thread than me anyway 1. Ohio State up 1 as they win a big game on the road rather easily against a #13 team that played well and Auburn really struggled 2. Auburn down 1 from last week--made South Carolina's offense look good 3. LSU up 1--continues to dominate offensively and defensively...very rounded team 4. USC down 1--injury issues and its offense is looking shaky 5. Louisville the same--off-week before putting up 70 on MTSU 6. Michigan up 2--offense remains a balanced show. Defense proved it's not a fluke by shutting down Wisconsin and Minnesota back-2-back. Needs Breaston to step up or Manningham to run more than a go route to move up IMO. 7. Texas down 1--creamed a cream puff. This weekend is a true barometer to see how far they've come since tOSU. 8. Florida down 1--beat Bama as expected. We'll see how Leak handles pressure this week. Injury to Wynn hurts. 9. West Virginia same--off-week, let's see how they do verse Miss St. 10. Tennessee new--demolished a nobody. Has the best win and toughest loss of any of the one loss teams. Get to prove themselves again this weekend dropped out-Georgia they just don't have the offense |

Im surprised Tennessee hasnt been in the top 10 polls. They barely lost to Florida which is simply a great team. Erike Ainge looks better about every game.

Tennessee is getting hammered for their letdown game verse Air Force
They lost a tough game to Florida by 1 and beat a very good Cal team They crushed Marshall and Memphis If they can show it on the road this week, everyone will sit up and notice the VOLS again |

I agree with Tenn. in and UGA dropping out since the last thread and is why I am going with the Vols this weekend. Not only has Tennessee looked great every game including a tough loss to a great team (Florida) they also dominated a very good Cal team the first week of the season. They look face-lifted compared to last year.

I think you've got LSU too high. They've dominated cupcakes so far. They are the best 1-loss team though.

1 OSU (not close)
2 Auburn (best win outside of OSU) 3 Florida (tie with Michigan, but the SEC wins my tiebreakers) 4 Michigan (most consistent team and biggest road win outside of OSU) 5 USC (lots of decent wins, but no big ones) 6 Louisville (so impressed with Petrino) 7 LSU (maybe the most talent, but Les Miles...I don't know.) 8 West Virginia (when does their season start?) 9 Oregon (OU "win" has them playing lights out now. The Cal game could be a classic.) 10 Texas (Still so many questions. I know it was Ohio State, but you're the national champs. 24-7 on your home field?) |

IMHO, Texas has no resume to be in the top 10. They got owned at home (granted, the #1 team) and they haven't beaten ANYBODY worthy.
1. Ohio State 2. Auburn 3. Florida 4. Michigan 5. USC 6. Louisville 7. Oregon 8. West Virginia 9. LSU 10. Tennessee |
