So

Which TE should I pick up for Gates being on bye?

Available:

Gilmore vs Det
Daniels vs Was
Wilcox vs Cle
Fletcher vs Jac
Bruener vs Was

I will be starting Gore vs Phi.

Options for 2 are:

T. Jones vs Min
C. Williams vs Carolina
T. Bell vs NE
Addai vs Jac
Reuben vs Bal

FA:

Ahman vs Det

Williams, Addai and Reuben don't even looking like options here.

WR1-Stallworth vs SF
WR2-R. Williams vs GB

WR3: I have 2 options
Walker vs NE
Bennett vs Mia

FA:
Cotchery vs Buf
Moulds vs Wash
Reed vs NYJ

Default Free agent strategy

This is my first year playing so be gentle. Here's the deal: Our league puts WR's and TE's in the same category, they are interchangable. Each week you start 4 WR/TE in any comination you like. Scoring is 1pt/10yd;6pts/TD. My current WR/TE are:
D. Jackson
D. Branch
Sa. Moss
E. Kennison
K. McCardell
A. Toomer
A. Randle-El
D. Clark
V. Davis

As of right now Coleson and Cotchery are free agents. I'm thinking of picking them up since they would seem to have more potential upside then guys like Randel-El and D. Clark who are fairly well known quantities. On the other hand, I'm afraid two good weeks isn't enough to go on. Right now my starting 4 are DJax, Branch, S Moss, and Toomer and I don't think I'd start Coleson/Cotchery over any of them yet. Our league charges $5 per free agent. I don't mind paying that if it will improve my team, on the other hand I don't want to go making pick-ups on a whim either. Any advice?

Williams, Brown

The Eagles are liable to put up 50 this week.

I disagree. You're biased and so am I. Someone not a Bills/Eagles fan?

I am somehow 2-0 in this league, but my team is pretty terrible. I have 5 players who have a bye week 3, and 3 49ers. Here is my roster.

Peyton Manning
Lamont Jordan
Frank Gore
Julius Jones
J. Addai
Mike bell
Randy Moss
Owens
Troy Williamson
Antonio Bryant
Lee Evans
Vernon Davis
Jeff Wilkins
Chargers D

Talked to my roomate and he needs WRs bad, so we discussed a trade where I give him Moss and Williamson, and receive Ahman Green and Eddie Kennison, move on it?

Should I also hit the WW for a TE? I didn't get to see the game, but I thought Vernon Davis would start, but he had no receptions and no yards, so he either didn't get looked at or actually didn't play. There aren't very many quality TEs left out there, but the Bears TE that has scored a few TDs is? Should I pick him up, if so who do I drop? I don't like the idea of having a RB/WR/TE from the same team, especially if its the Niners even though they are my team, but it looks like Bryant will get more TDs than Davis and Gore certainly isn't going anywhere.

I've also considered going after Berian for the bears since he has been big the first 2 weeks, but I don't know who to drop, maybe Lee Evans? I don't really know to drop because I don't want to ditch any RBs since I don't have 2 clear guys to go with there, so I've been mixing them up week by week.

My team sucks. I need a killer week this time around... not quite sure where to go on a couple of these. Obviously with RB I am taking Portis if he plays. Then I'm taking either Taylor or Jones with my second back, not sure which yet.

With WR I am going Boldin and Chambers, not sure who of Chad Jackson and TJ Housh to go with.

More interesting decision from another league. My team is good, but LT has a bye. Which two RB to go with?

xorbie,

Definitely Gore. Last one is a tossup between Maroney and Cadillac, though I give the edge to Cadillac because he's not splitting carries. Addai against the Jags seems like an ugly idea.
