My new computer that I bought from Dell recently keeps crashing while I'm playing poker. I uninstalled some drivers it might have been.(from talking to support) It keeps crashing though. The only things I have downloaded on my computer have been poker related programs(party, stars, pt, pahud, etc...) and messanger. Here is the message I get when it crashes:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced startup options, and then select safe mode. Technical Inofrmation: Stop: 0x000000D1(0x00000000C, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0B1676F21) ***portcls.sys_Address B1676F21 base at B1676000, Datestamp 40574e49 Beginning dump of physical memory Physical memory dump complete Contact system administration or technical support for further assistance" The support person helped me clear some things last time I spoke to them, and told me how to uninstall a driver they thought it might be based on what I told them. The other option was to wipe everything off and start over(meaning pt and everything would be wiped) I was waiting to see if the other things worked, and they definitely didn't. However, when it started crashing is when I first got it I only had like Party, PT, pa hud and AIM on my entire computer. Could it be the computer????? I dunno what to do. |

It may be from your processor overheating .. Try taking the cover off and using a fan and see if it still happens.
Problems like this are a pain in the a55 |

I have this problem too. Except it's not that type of stop error. It is so god damn annoying, especially because it can happen in the middle of a huge poker hands (WHICH IT HAS AND PUT ME ON MAJOR TILT)

Did either of you reinstall your computers when you got them?
I really recommend that you start fresh with a reinstall after receiving a new computer - that way you know exactly what is installed on the machine. You may want to take a look at my reinstall guide if you are interested in reinstalling. It will offer additional benefits, such as making future reinstalls (if necessary) much easier to conduct due to the restructuring of your hard drive into two partitions. Also, it is possible to transfer your PT database(s). Good luck. P.S. You may want to try uninstalling and reinstalling your on-board sound drivers as well. |

try calling dell tech support, this shouldnt happen, and taking the cover off you PC isnt going to help cooling unless dell really [censored] up their design.

I just got a new computer too and when I tried installing Windows, it kept crashing during the install and I got either that error or PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.
I searched around and found that it's either one or more of your RAM sticks are corrupt or your power supply isn't working right. I took out one of the sticks and when I tried re-installing again it went perfect. Try running a memory diagnostic test or see if there's something with the power supply. Maybe overheating is causing the problem. |

What kind of computer is it? I'm on my second E1705 and it still has the same problem. I went round and round w/ Dell and they think PP software was compromised?? I've only had it happen while playing at PP w/ PT and PA. I've played at Full Tilt, Paradise and Stars with no problems, but they short sessions. I've been playing at PP the most lately. Maybe I should try some extended multi-tabling sessions at one of the other sites.
