Default Deep QQ interesting turn

Party 100NL 6max

No real reads on villain other than this is the first time he's 3bet pre-flop since I've been at the table.

Hand:Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Stacks:Hero 190, Villain covers

Pre-flop:
UTG limps, Hero (button) bets 5, BB raises to 14, Hero calls.

Flop:9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Pot -- ~30
BB bets 26, Hero calls 26.

Turn:5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Pot -- 82
BB checks, Hero...?

Also suggest river action based on what you do.

Easiest check ever, especially given how deep you both are.

What do you on the river on a spade/blank/overcard... if he leads/checks?

Check... I want a little pot control here.

On a spade river I call some of the time (i'm really not sure how much or how often and usually just go for gut instinct)... I'm just checking behind if he checks.

On a brick, I don't think there is any value in betting, so I check. If he leads, I might find a fold depending on how crazy he is.

My analysis sucks... but i tried.

ok, I thought some people would advocate betting to bluff out AA/KK. I checked behind, river is the 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and villain leads for 55, Hero?

Easy fold against first time 3-bettor preflop. This is harder if you bet the turn (which I don't).

Can I ask a question here. How do we put the villain on a hand like AA/KK which obviously has us dominated, as opposed to a hand like TT/JJ which we have dominated.

Is it standard to assume the worst? Or is it the preflop 3bet that does it?

I think there is some paranoia involved, and an assumption that anyone is going to raise the same way pre-flop with the same hand. In my opinion, pre-flop is the most chaotic time of the game where anything can happen, sometimes limps with strong hands, sometimes huge raises with weak hands, it's all relative.

That said, I think check was the right option here, and then raise him on the river. If he leads (which he is 90% likely to do), then give him a raise or just call it depending on the size of the raise. If he checks, then raise him a value bet at that point to get him to pay.

dbitel,
How much do you call if the river is another spade? If checked to?
