Default Fantasy Football Money Leagues?

Anybody know of a good site where I can get in some $$ leagues for the upcoming fantasy football season? I'd think one of the online casinos might offer something, but I can't find it. Something with a bigger payout than the 50% on cbssportsline would be nice.

Start one with some buddies. I have a few friends who play in a $200 one.

www.fantasybowl.com looks pretty good -- they pay back the highest percentage of the prize pool i have seen. Note: I have never used them before though.

I can't believe sites like cbs keep half of the entry fees and still get people to join.

Does anyone know if fantasybowl is reputable or of any other fantasy football sites that return most of the prize pool that are reputable? I am in a couple leagues with friends already but would like to join a couple more leagues for money, but at the same time I don't want to throw a bunch of money into a site without feeling comfortable that I will get paid if I win.

No, you really don't. Its nasty. Half the league caps only fantasy and doesn't have an silly illusions like teams being "good" or if they have "intangibles" or any crap like that. Straight up stat grubbing whores.

I agree... but what do you do when your buddies aren't willing to play as high of stakes as you want? I want to join a ton of serious leagues. If it goes well this year, next year I am going to become a professional fantasy football player.

unless its an auction style draft it is difficult to be successful in many different fantasy football leagues because of the different draft positions that you get, and you are constantly counteracting yourself... you want one player to do well for you in one league and you want him to suck in another... see where im going with this.

I agree... but at the same time if you are in 100 leagues you don't want all of your leagues depending on single player (what if he gets injured or something?)...

I think the key is just no matter where you draft pick is, just try to pick value at each spot. Some players are going to fall farther in some drafts than others, and the key is figuring out who has fallen too far, and who you can wait another round or 2 for.
