Raising preflop is certainly something to consider.

The flop seems all right to me.

A turn bet is something to at least think about, although it would be irritating to get checkraised by UTG again.

UTG's play in this hand is really weird.

With no reads, I don't like betting out with AQ offsuit preflop. Again, considering that I have no reads, I think I'm content not betting out on the flop and calling him down. With 4 players, the third diamond would make me pretty nervous though. Still think I'd call it down as long as the turn isn't bet, raise, reraise or something (which it wasn't).

And I agree that UTG played this really strange. But I have to assume the third diamond scared him as well.

dude, raise pf. This hand would have turned out waaay differently if you had raised pf.

As it is, the flop is good.

his slowing down on the turn means he prob doesnt have a 2 pair or a set. I also cant put him on Ak because he didnt raise (you posted no reads so...). My guess is AJ or AT, if hes loose pf than id say he just simply has a worse ace than you. I bet this turn, if someone raises (after just calling the flop) with the third diamond...well....i dont know what id do here. anyone have any suggestions? if no-one else raises and UTG pulls another check-raise id probably guess he pumped a FD on the flop but w/o a read id call bcuz he could be donking it up w/ a weaker ace.

river, SB is a moron and just hit another 6. I prob call though.

You have to raise that preflop at this level. You've got a great hand preflop, and you need to get people out of the hand that have K6o or whatever SB had. Anyone saying not to raise preflop is way too tight. AQ loses a lot of its strength when there are 8 players in the pot.

Good move on the flop betting (you can't check this flop as someone else suggested) and 3-betting, trying to get people to call 2 more cold--not to mention you're probably ahead here. Unfortunately in this case, (and fortunately over the long term) they're donkeys and both called.

Giving free cards is no good, but betting here isn't going to knock anyone with any piece of the 4 cards out there out. And you have to wonder if UTG will checkraise again. Turn's fine.

River's fine. You're beat, but the pot's too big to fold.
