I limp this pre-flop. I'm not a huge fan of raising 77 UTG+2.

Anyway, as played, fall asleep on the raise button on the flop. You're probably good here most of the time, even given MP2's AF. He probably hit two-pair or something, or paired an ace.

What happens on the flop affects the turn. I'm leading the turn if he calls a flop 3-bet. If he capped the flop, I'm going for a check/raise. If he raises/3-bets me (depends on flop action which could happen), then I'm slowing down and calling, because I'm additionally behind to JJ, 87, and KQ now, but I still have 10 outs to improve to a boat.

River, depends on turn action. If I've been raised/3-bet on the turn, check/call. If he calls one of my turn bets or raises, I'm leading out, and calling a raise.
---
I do want to know if anyone thinks the check/raise line on the turn (assuming capped flop) is spewy. My logic is that if he caps the flop, the jack probably didn't help him any (I'm hard pressed to see a guy with a low aggression factor to cap an OESD or a gut-shot), and we beat a bunch of two-pair hands and Ax hands, and are only behind to AA, JJ, and TT. Anyone just advocate check/call the turn if flop is capped, or even donking out? I'm curious.

i do not open 77 this early. I think calling the flop is probably OK. I think it's OK to cap turn and bet river.

posting blind.. if you raise button broke, you played it right... if not, I have a raise rock for sale.

edit: wanna buy my raise rock?

Seriously, just limp this PF, 77 is far too weak to raise in EP. And just raise this throught the roof.

i like the bet / call on the flop but i think u need to cap every street only slowing down to obvious draws that may have emerged
a stop and go might even be good here...

I don't like any street here.

What does the villian have that beats you?
3-bet that flop. Bet and 3 bet the turn.
Bet/call the river.

Its only rare to see someone not 3-bet (in my circles anyway) TT or AA or JJ. I feel you are ahead way to many times than not to play this any other way.

since hero didn't cap turn, it's hard to really say, but people are suggesting cap every street. It is possible that hero is up against TT, a very discounted donkishly played AA, but more likely he is against AT. But to cap every street when we have 3rd nuts on flop & fifth nuts on turn is insane.

I don't understand donking the river but passing up the opportunity to cap the turn. Without specifically thinking that T7d was in villian's range, I don't know what river you were afraid of.

As played I would think the opponent has AK, AQ, AJ, AT, A7, AA, or TT.

I can understand waiting until the turn to pump it, but once you get there and he wants to rumble, then go for the cap, cap, capparoo.

As for the river, if you are gonna cap the turn what about a deuce on the river scares you into bet/calling? And what card outside of the last 7 would you need to 3-bet the river?
