Default Something you\'ve done that you now find unthinkable

About 5 yrs ago my senior year of high school, we were bored after going out to eat for a friend's birthday. Two of my friends and I who were really into cars/driving at the time decided WTF, let's get into Kyle's Nissan Maxima and see how fast we can make it go. Note that this wasn't a new Maxima but a 5-7 yr old one. We got inside, strapped on our seatbelts thinking we were invincible and floored it continuously on a highway. It got to the point where at 120 mph, we'd have to hold the accelerator down for 5 seconds before the speed increased. We got it up to 127 or 137 (can't remember). Next day, we bragged about it to everyone, and showed them pictures that my friend took.

Looking back on it now, there was probably a 10-20% chance we could've gotten into an accident and died. The POS tires were probably not good enough to handle 100mph, much less 125+. Boy, were we idiots.

I did the same thing in my old Plymouth Reliant on the Garden State Parkway headed to AC years back. I got it up to over 100 and it started shaking like it was going to fall apart. That was pretty stupid.

Steroids and obsessive bodybuilding.

I'm such a fat mess now that anyone who looked at would think it was unthinkable I ever worked out too, haha.

This doesn't really sound that bad. I think I've been in a not so old Maxima that drove perfectly smoothly at 110. Unless your friend's was breaking apart or the traffic was heavy, this doesn't seem that dangerous.

Not unthinkable, but I stole candy from convenience stores almost every day throughout middle school. I just can't bring myself to steal stuff now.

I was doing ~110 on I-10 in my '95 Maxima on my way back to Phoenix from LA. The car handled just fine. I did get pulled over because I forgot to slow down 1/2 hour out of Phoenix. I got off with a ticket for 80 and was able to take a driver's class so no points or record.

That Plymouth Reliant at a little over 100, now that was scary and stupid.
