Default Is it possible to beat the rake at 1/2 limit hold \'em?

The highest limit game I can find in FL is Straight $2 limit hold 'em. It has $1/$2 Blinds and $2 bets on each street capped at $8. The rake is 10% up to $5 plus $1 for the Bad Beat plus $1 for a dealer tip. Is it possible to beat the rake in a game like this?

I would never even bother to play in that game. They will be taking at least $4 off the table pretty much every hand. If you think the game is juicy enough to cover having like $120 off the table every hour then I guess you can break even or maybe profit, but long term this is a terrible game.

The problem is it's the only game in town. It's fun to play live every now and then. I hate playing online all the time. If I can break even then that's OK with me. I'm making a little over $1 an hour playing it so far but that's only for about 20 hours. The game is really loose and easily beat. It's common to have 6 people to the flop and 3-4 to a showdown. This increases variance but helps in the longrun with overcoming the rake, I would think?

Go for it then if you know all of this. IMHO, playing live is a good change from online.
