I am a beginner at Texas hold´ em limit online-poker and honestly haven´t played a nickel on real money yet. Hope someone will share some ”benchmarks” on winrate from your time as beginners, like information about how win-/loose rate compare between play with playmoney and play with real money at lower limits. Feel free to add some statistics for how your progress were on your way to higer limits also. |

Playmoney is nearly useless. It is a bunch of donks moving all in every hand/capping every street.

Here's what you do:
Take $150: Buy Pokertracker - $50 Buy Pokerace HUD - $20 Buy a 2+2 book - $20 Take the rest and deposit it on UB, play incredibly low. Like .05-.10 LHE or $5 max NL and play a ton and read a lot and study the game. Play money is just that. |

The freeroll tournies on the play sites, when the reward is an actual, tangible benefit, can play like actual money tournies. I think these are reasonable training grounds for tourney play.
The heads up area can also prove realistic against many opponents. The full ring "cash" games on free sites are pretty useless. |
