Default $1/$2 - QQ

Villain is around 29/10/3. Don't have much of a read on him besides that.

Hero ($217) - button
Villain ($250) - sb

Hero on button dealt Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

preflop:
Hero raises to $7, villian raises to $23, hero calls.

[$48] flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
villain bets $48, hero..

What is hero doing here? What if the flop is complete rags?

Is that hu or was it just folded to you on the button? There's a pretty big difference.

yeah, my bad. This was a six max table that has become four handed.

Unless the table has been very agressive lately this has to be inta-fold

I'd prefer 3-betting preflop personally, for the reason that a player as tight as him (in 6-max) probably won't proceed unless we're beat.

But how you played it, I think you pretty much have to raise this flop. You need to define your hand. You can't really fold here with no other information IMO and I don't much care for calling.

If you call here, what do you do on the turn?

Honestly I hate these spots, but this is poker. This is a one pair hand that may or may not be good, you don't have a lock and have some decisions... these are the spots where you forge your self into a great player.

I don't like a call here either. If you raise this flop how much are you raising? If I min-raise, he pushes, I fold?

you realize hero has less than $150 behind and a $150 pot after he calls, what is he raising here?

Very true.

If you're playing this hand, you need to make the decision on the flop about whether or not you're playing for all the money.

Push or fold on the flop. I'd probably push

I'd lean towards a fold here.
He'd be balsy to do this with AK. Pretty much every other unpaired hand except MAYBE, but not likely, AJs or AQs is unlikely given the preflop action.

Everything points towards AA or KK, possibly JJ or TT.
I think you're behind here more often than not. I'd make a deep sigh and fold.

I think you have to really consider a push depending on the feel of the table. He does have a 3 agro rating and the table is 4 handed when most people pick up the pace. He can easily put you on a button steal and be playing back at you. I think you will see AA/KK A3 55 sometimes but your also going to see all PP Ax even KJ/QJ if he's is playing agro at the time. I think this is really read dependant play but I lean toward the push.
