devin,
i think you have to consider if you feel you get a net + effect from my IMs to you, or a net - effect. then consider whether or not i know that. then i think it becomes obvious that i hate you too. |

I just read an article in Bluff's April edition by The_D_RY or whatever it is. He advocates playing for first on the bubble because of the difference between 1st and 2nd compared to the difference between 2nd and 3rd. Yet fails to mention how the difference between 1/2 and 3/4 is the same.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there are articles telling people to play for first, but does he really play the bubble poorly? |

2nd day of delivering flowers trip report:
I'm delivering some in a really rich community, which means mostly old rich retired people since it's Florida. I try and deliver some, she's not home, so I go next door to try the neighbors because you can't be leaving flowers out in Florida. A HUGE middle aged guy with a shaved head and a really hairy chest answers the door in just his briefs saying "Good Day" in a Canadian accent. Two young(25ish) guys are standing about 5 feet behind him in their briefs as well, standing a little too close to each other. I kindly ask him if he will take the flowers for his neighbor until she comes home. He thinks for a few moments and says, "Sure." I ask him to sign my log sheet and as I'm trying to point out where to sign, he says, "Here?", and I say "Yes, Sir". One of the young guys standing behind, also with a Canadian accent says, "You don't have to say 'sir', he's Canadian." It's really early in the morning, and I manage to blurt out "Well, that explains a lot, eh?". I'm one of the politest and nicest people, but somehow that just came out(I've never said anything like this in my life). He gives me a confused look and I quickly walk fast towards the car. Fortunately, it didn't seem like he realized what I didn't mean to mean by that joke. |

tfg,
uh, he had the middle card of a straight flush, making all other sf's impossible... devin, the d ry has, in my experience, been an excellent sng player (party is where i had my experience), and from what i understand he is pretty solid on stars as well. however from watching the end of the 1k wsop qual last night on stars, i was shocked by the crappitude of his play (particularly his last hand). |
