evg,
You're way off too. Unless I missed something about Rizen not knowing how to play 150 BB stacks, his preflop range is much wider than TT+/AK, so JJ is the nuts here.

[/ QUOTE ]

that's not his entire range, but after the flop lead the rest of his range is shutting down and is therefore indifferent to our action

you dont think rizen folds QQ to a raise on this dry-ass board?

[/ QUOTE ]
if he does, you aren't bluffing enough

[/ QUOTE ]

it's not whether you bluff enough, it's whether rizen thinks you do/how large his 3 bet PF range is

[/ QUOTE ]
yeah, but isn't that basically the same thing, ranges and perception of ranges? let's face it, if folding QQ on a 932 flop to one flop raise in a reraised pot is easy for your opponent, you're doing something wrong.

maybe if tom mcevoy is the button and t.j. cloutier is the BB, this is a fold

hmmm

no

but okay, okay. point is, if a reraise is correct here, then you're the one narrowing Rizen's pf range way too much. because whether or not he folds QQ to a raise isn't the end-all point. assuming an optimal range, he'd be folding too many non-paired hands to make up for the value you THINK we get from QQ anyway

I am way too doped up after knee surgery this morning to read through all this, so maybe it was already said, but...

Poker is situational. Has anyone mentioned that it might be best for, say, a nit like me to call the flop and a nut like Nath to raise it? Can't quite get my mind around it right now to see if it applies here, but maybe.

you need to get your life in order and quit the drugs and such.

but yes, this is clearly played very differently if nath was Hero, or even if I was because I'm fairly unknown and have played maybe 50 hands lifetime with Rizen.

i really think that whether as a default or as Bond, call preflop, call flop is the best line though

If we were 1500 deep I'd be more inclined to call. Because we're 3000 deep I'm more inclined to raise. Does that help?

Kramer,

That is only correct if you are a) schizophrenic, or b) the perfect poker player.
