I've been watching a few, they may be thinking at about five levels higher than me, but....

I'm just amazed this happens at the 1000+50's. Pushing JJ is bad enough, you're a coinflip at best if he calls. But calling with KQ? That's stinky...

[/ QUOTE ]

my brother was shocked when he saw this at a 5.5 today.

also, since we're going to talk about high stakes games, we're going to stop calling things where one side has a clear edge, overlay, and folding equity, coinflips. 57/43, etc, are not coinflips.

I think anyone here would look like a moron if you were to take some particularly bad play they made. So sometimes I find it funny that the same people who say "1000 SNGs don't matter, it's all varriance," will then say "look at thest three plays player B made. It's obvious he can't play poker."

It is very, very obvious to see which players are bad simply from the large mistakes they make.

It is much less obvious to look at results in the short-term.

michael,

agreed, but just so we're clear, elky is horrible and bad at (Short stacked) poker. i also have good reason to believe he's pretty horrible at medium stacked poker too (played together for 2 hours during the sunday million, and many people who are mtt experts say so too), though i have no way of judging his deep stacked (lol!) play.

I would NEVER make that JJ push that KQ call or that 55 push while sober or playing for an amount of money I cared about.
