He probably didn't put you on anything. But, it's a reasonable call if he thinks you could have a mid pair or something. Although, your line doesn't make much sense for that.

The other day I called With J4s on a 77889 board. That guy probably thought I was a moron. And I probably am. But, the way the hand played I figured my J-high was good cause I thought he had a small pair a lot.
