i hope this is a leveling thread, he isnt even in the top 1000 best cash game players, probably not the top 15,000. So he is nowhere near the best NLHE player, you could say that he is one of the top live NLHE tourney players of all time, he beats weak fields and plays all tournies.

[/ QUOTE ]
hahaha...this is good stuff.

I think over 100 top pros were in Event 15 with him.

[/ QUOTE ]

It doesn't matter that 100 good players were in Event 15. There were 2400 complete [censored] donkeys. I played in it. It was an amazingly soft field. I played with 30-40 different players, and I only played with one decent player other than myself, and I am nowhere near Phil's skill level. Why do people keep saying this stuff.

[/ QUOTE ]

It being an easy field then...where did you finish? 2nd?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you mentally retarded?

It takes a lot of skill and luck to go through a huge field. If you look up, I said that Hellmuth is the best Live NLHE Tournament player there is. However; he is not the best Hold'em player ever, and is a huge huge donk in cash games.

There is a reason that basically every 2p2'r is in Vegas right now playing WSOP events, and it's because they are amazingly soft beyond belief, especially for an online pro. I would probably equate the play on my 1500 table, to a 3r online. Maybe even softer.

[/ QUOTE ]

the 3r is also as soft as the 20r just with less entrants , only the top 5% are good in the 20r

where did all the morons and their favorite online pros finish if it was such a easy field? If it is not about where they finished then do not say helmuth went through a donkey field. Your online guys had the same opportunity so sorry if they could not take advantage.

[/ QUOTE ]

Also.

Taylor Douglas and Scott Clements are both big name online pros, who made the final table. So. I'm not sure what your argument is here.

Nobody ever said Hellmuth wasn't a good player. I just said that the field in the 1500 wasn't a hard field. It was still massive, and still give Phil tons of credit for making it deep.

But trying to argue that the 1500 field wasn't easy is pretty ridiculous. It was donktastic, why do you think all the pros are playing in the events? lol

[/ QUOTE ]

they are playing for bracelets, ivey a pro who never plays wpt pre lim events is playing these pre lim for bracelets, not because it is easy

Huh?

There are v v few good players in the 3r. The 20r is probably 50% full of online pros, and is a fairly tough field.

I can play in the 3r for a week and not even recognize a single player around me.

Sigh. Sorry, no.

Most people couldn't give a crap about bracelets. They want money. WSOP events present the best chance to make money.

if any of them won, you guys would be sucking their nuts like they are going to pay your bills from now on saying it was such an amazing thing that they had done, going through 2600 entrants

Have you read the thread? Pretty much everyone in the thread says Phil is the best, or one of the best NL Tourney players alive.

Several other thread in this exact same forum have been started about how amazing how accomplishment is.

Nobody is doubting his accomplishment.

Of course people WANT bracelets. But you enter the tournament to try and make money. The bracelets are secondary.

Maybe the bracelets mean a whole lot to Phil, Ivey, Doyle, etc. But to Brian Horton? Random online pro w/ a 60K bankroll? Not a real big deal. Sure I'd love to win one, but if you said I could win 500K and a bracelet, or 600K. I'd take the 600K everyday.
