Okay, you don't go to OSU.
But certainly some of your classmates may end up transferring to OSU at some point. And obviously there are some crazy/sick/annoying OSU fans that you probably go to school with at Tiffin. I thought I saw something about the wireless-server thing but I might be remembering incorrectly. I'll take your word for it. Maybe somebody else suggested that as a possibility. I don't recall you mentioning the computer-lab thing before but, again, I'm feeling lazy right now and don't feel like reading the whole thread ultra-carefully again trying to find it so maybe it did come up. As far as WHY someone would spam on your account. They get on, the password has been remembered, they want to play play-money or something. All they have is YOUR account and they can't get any money into it anyway. But it looks fun. And they jump in play on the play-money tables or decide to use it to spam their affiliate site, whatever. While this isn't something I would care about doing...I don't think it's entirely unrealistic for somebody getting your name and handle to feel like logging-on and spamming the tables. Also - doesn't necessarily matter if you clicked 'remember my password' if someone installed a key-logger on it. I'm a total computer-doofus, but I thought it was pretty well understood that playing in computer-labs or at computer-cafes on THEIR computers was extremely unwise. you were saying before that you had 'no idea how any of this stuff could have happened' or how you could possibly have gotten linked with so many other players. And even to a computer-moron like me I think it's incredibly obvious. |

I was referring to two different post's in my post above sorry I should have been more clear. The point is I switched to stars back around Christmas and have never so been so happy since before Party poker kicked us out. Look at it like this FTP tries to base their goals on what Stars has/does instead of aiming to do better. Stars will always out do their competition especially FTP. Get your money from those idiots and never look back!
Oh yea one more thing I can't seem to get if you can crack down him for spamming how come for the whole 3 months I was there and until the day I finally left I saw the same people spamming over and over and over? Why could you never manage to ban those people! |

People who are wondering why this spammer was able to create a 2nd account that stayed open for 22 months until it was shut down is EASILY EXPLAINED.
FPTSean said it right there, nothing hidden. Original Customer service rep messed up and people will be spoken to about this. Chill out guys. If the player spammed, he should have been cut. One mistake by a couple CSR's and here we are. Deal with it, build a freakin' bridge and get over it. The guy is a spammer. He created an account even after his original one was killed off. That's two unethical things he's done... yet HE'S being cheered? Hi. I'm your local town hero. Why? Cuz I robbed a bank AND stole a car! |

This is part of an email I got from FTP after I made my 1st post. They actually emailed me in response to this thread.
[ QUOTE ] "Now, when I had this account I knew 1 person that played online poker at my college and knew absolutely no one else in my school or outside of my school. The person I know, still has an account active on FTP right now." The problem I have with that statement is that StepBangin, UTG, BigBlindSpecial, IBluffWithThis, forrest_m82, and gtpitch have all used common PC's. Since you only know one person who uses Full Tilt Poker, then either you or him, or the both of you have used several accounts - a clear violation of our site rules (Rule #2, found at this link: http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/siteRules.php). [/ QUOTE ] So first they associated me with like 20 names, not they are narrowing it down to 6. Hopefully they can narrow it down to the fact that they are wrong. Then they can open my account and I can email them a request to close it |

[ QUOTE ] cliff notes? [/ QUOTE ] OP's FT account gets hacked, FT support confirms the hack and tells him to open new account. FT support then permabans him for opening multiple accounts. [/ QUOTE ] I can't believe how one-minded most people are looking at this and other issues. People cry when they say FTPs security is too loose, then complain when they freeze an account here or there because someone is f'ing around. This guy probably repeatedly tried logging into the account which the FTP specifically told him not to as it would cause his other account to freeze -- They had that account blocked so the Hacker wouldn't ever be able to mess around again and this guy didn't follow their instructions. It's pretty simple. Every time he tried to login to his account they told him NOT to login to -- It froze his other one. I know paradise poker has a similiar feature like banning someone's IP, but being able to spread if it was associated to an account and someone tried loggin into it. If he kept on logging into an account purposely locked due to being hacked... I would permantantly ban him too. THAT's security in my mind. FTP can't see you're anything more than a dude replying to an email. For all they know you're the hacker!! |

You just completely made up a scenario and then got all worked up about it, when in reality, I did not try logging in one time after they told me not to. Hence the reason I WAS able to log onto my account. Did you even read thread? LOL @ Getting worked up over nothing |
