Start Michael Vick or Peyton Manning? Seemingly an easy question, yet footballguys.com says I should start Vick. I think footballguys.com might actually be retarded

Seriously though, how about Vick or Brees?

[/ QUOTE ]

Vick over Brees in a heartbeat.

And to defend footballguys. It didn't have an article that said start Vick over Manning.

What it does is calculate how well each team has done against the pass and against the run. Compares that to how the various players have done this season. Then it calculates the projected points for each player.

The projections say Vick will score 15.5 points this weekend, while Peyton will score 14.4.

As I mentioned, Jacksonville has allowed few QB points this year, while NO has allowed a lot. So it just puts in the numbers and comes out with Peyton scoring less than Vick.

The worrisome things about that technique are:

1) 2 weeks is a very small sample size.

2) it doesn't take into account that the reason Vick has so many fantasy points is his running (most leagues give more points to running yards and tds than passing yards and tds).

Who would you put in the RB/WR and TE/WR spots?

I just heard Ahman Green is listed as questionable @ DET with a hamstring injury. Vernand Morency and Noah Herron are his backups.

Which one of these guys would be the better play this week, assuming Green cannot go?

Keep in mind, Herron has been on the team longer, as Morency was just acquired from Houston.

Warner against StL or Culpepper against Tenn?

Warner seems like the easy choice given the way Daunte has played, but for some reason Cpep is projected hihger

Does the fact that it's largely a TD league make Vick the more or less obvious choice? Brees is likely to throw for more meaningless yardage, but Vick's rushing yards aren't going to get me anywhere either unless he has 100+.

Definitely Bush at RB/WR. Galloway or Reg. Williams at TE/WR; I'm not sure.

I'll be honest: never heard of either.

Unless you want to attend the Sports Guy's meeting at the Staples Center next week, I would strongly advise Warner.

LOL. I've heard of Morency but only b/c of the recent trade. It's either one of these guys or one of the other scrubs I posted a poll about a few days ago in this thread.

Herron/Morency are playing DET, and I put in a WW request to pick up Jerious Norwood, playing NO this week, which would go through in a few hours.
