Dangerfish- what you say is very true, which is a large part of why i conceded that a NL player could make like 33% more... when i play NL i generally can feel comfortable playing 700-800 hands and hour at medium to low stakes, and for limit i think my ideal number is in the 550-600 range. The point is that if you are very good at either, the earns should be quite close on a $/hand basis, [/ QUOTE ] I don`t consider myself a very good player at either game but I`ll disagree anyway. From my personal experience (which includes about maybe 1/4 mio. hands in MSFL from Feb - Nov 06, about the same amount of hands from then on playin MSNL) it`s so much easier to consistently crush NL. My hourly rate is like 4 times as good in NL compared to FL and I usually 4-table. |

Mat, that's more an indidcator that you are a stronger NL player than a limit player than anything else in all liklihood. Conversley some people might be stronger limit players and be prone to make bigger mistakes in NL, causing them to have the opposite experience. The point is that you are making 4x as much playing NL over a 250k hands at MSNL (i assume this means 2-4, 3-6, maybe 5-10) and you averaged 5 PT/bb 100 over this sample (which btw would put you in a veeeery elite class) your WR at limit would have to be like .5 bb/100 at limit to account for the difference in earn.

[/ QUOTE ] It`s not that hard to run better than 5 at those limits if you table select well and have acces to all sites. I did do a little better than .5 overall and I am doing a bit better than 5 as well. The point is: Let`s say the amount of money the fishpool is donating was equal in NL and FL, there`s a HUGE difference in how the money is distributed between the sites and the winning players. |
