Let's not forget when the Small blind shrugs, tosses in his chips and says "half-in rule"

------------------

I probably start a cliche when I channel Homer Simpson...

sometimes I'll do like Homer does in that episode where he's playing poker, and he keeps going "DOH!!!" after he picks up every card, and then looks sly and goes "oops, I mean...woo hoo..." sorta softly.

Except I do it when I'm behind and on every flop/turn/river -

-------------------------

But the most irritating [censored] is the drunk redneck looking for a fight and wanting you to go outside - though it applies to every Phil Hellmuth wannabe who wants to take the game to new levels of dickheadedness - these guys are usually profitable, but it's such a miserable [censored]'s way of winning money that it's almost not worth it...

saw one of these idiots literally every night I was in Vegas back in Dec. Security either was called to escort them out or had to be called to simmer it down. Haven't played in a casino since, actually...and this wasn't just the Imperial Palace either - MGM for one.

The best thing about "One time!" is that it's always used in a situation where someone's way ahead, something like KK vs AK

They say "One time!" as if this will be the first time ever that a 3 to 1 favorite holds up. Never ceases to crack me up

People who claim they are 'pot commited' every other hand they play. I've thought of asking some of them what they think pot commited is but I've never bothered to so far.

"One time" is a time-honored gambler's phrase.

Ask the NY/NJ/CT transplants at the simulcast.

I never get tired of folks who yell "Deuce" as the dealer peels the turn or river. It's my one guilty pleasure in the realm of B&M cliches.

I hate the irony of this thread. Complaining about cliches when 95% of the posts here (and in most forums, to be fair) contain one of many fad cliches. E.g., referring to something that has nothign to do with poker as "+/- EV". And Chuck Norris references have never been clever, regardless of what the majority of the population seems to think.
