stop calling unwinnable check/raises on the river |

yeah that is why i was going to only look at situations where i felt like i was in an iffy situation given the bet and the size of the pot. obviously if i look at all of the data it will be +EV because i don't suck at my opponents do since i am a pedantic game selector. the query you gave me would at least let me look at all of the showdown situations though if i wanted to look at all of my data at some point though.
so your query is basically "how am i doing at all of my river calls?" i think you should expect that you should be +EV if you are a winning player. my query is "how am i doing at all of my marginal river calls" where marginal is my personal definition of marginal. i dunno if i am +EV there, since kind of by definition i am unsure of it since i am calling those river calls marginal and it's my game i am dissecting. at the very least it will change my definition of marginal to be more correct, whichever way the data goes, which will be a good thing. |

heh check out 2+2 wannabe's post for a great example of why i want to kind of run this check-up on my own game.
oh. does anybody want to teach me how to play out of the blinds this month? i will pay. i spent the last two months doing what everyone says, defending with a lot of hands and being loose and all of that, and i got creamed, like -.30 in a full ring game creamed out of the BB. HUSH guys are probably the best guys to teach me to play out of the BB, so if anyone wants to teach me that would be great. if i dont get a lesson i will go back to being really tight again which was working out way way better for me. |

[ QUOTE ] since I am playing 5/10 currently 1) 100k hands 2) make greater than 30k after everything 3) stop running like [censored] [/ QUOTE ] How do you psychologically prepare yourself to play 100k hands in a month? Do you play long sessions? Several shorter ones? Is this stamina somethng you've always had, or built up to? [/ QUOTE ] never put in more than like 40 in any month. I am just going to do it and see wtf happens next |

1. Get 40K hands in (90+ hours) Over 100 and near 50K hands 2. I'd like to get the distribution of hands tilting towards 15/30 and 20/40 rather than 10/20. Played a ton of 20/40 short. More than half my hands at 20/40 and 30/60 3. Take on a couple of new students. Coached 7 or 8 people. 4. Finish getting all my tax documents to my advisor. done yesterday (phew) 5. Try and lengthen my sessions back to 1.5ish hours. Playing tons of short sessions is inefficient. I got better at this and then decided I wanted to get worse.
