I negotiated pay with two employee's on Friday. One male, the other female.

Both will be working as my assistants and then moving into management positions in the coming months, the departments they will ultimately run will be from the same pool, which is to say from an organizational perspective they are equal at this point in time.

The woman was given a salary of $30,000.

The man was given a bonus intensive pay package with a minimum of $50,000 and the potential for a lot more.

The woman easily could have had a similar package, the man wouldn't have worked for any less.

I didn't set the pay of either, they were negotiated.
