Man you must be hard to impress.

Not really. Northern lights, certain castles and churches in Europe, driving through the Rockies, lots of places I've been have totally blown me away.

Update: the voting is completed. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TRAVEL/07/06...ers/index.html

• The Great Wall of China

• Petra in Jordan

• Brazil's statue of Christ the Redeemer

• Peru's Machu Picchu

• Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid

• The Colosseum in Rome

• India's Taj Mahal

Something tells me the Catholic vote skewed the Brazil statue. Yuck.

I really like that list, the statue is a little out of place but whatever.

Replace the statue with Angkor. From everything I've heard, Angkor blows most of these away if more people had seen it.

I think if the Christ statue were replaced with the Easter Island statues it would be perfect. It seems like the pyramids should be in there somewhere but I don't know what I would remove other than maybe Chichen Itza which is similar.

The pyramids have special honorary status. I'm not sure they were even in the voting.

the statue of liberty is hardly deserving of a nomination. i'm just as much red white and blue as anyone else, but putting the statue of liberty in the same field as the pyramids and stone henge is ridiculous.
