This is the voting to narrow down to 7, which has been completed. How many have you been to? For voting purposes I'm going to say within 100 yards counts as being there, unless you couldn't get closer or something.

Has anyone been to any of these and didn't think they were that spectacular? Seems like some countries (*cough* US *cough*) got an automatic entry.

I've been to 5: Great Walll, Kiyomizu, Colloseum, Eiffel, Statue of Liberty.

I had a chance to continue on toe Angkor with my friends, but I skipped it because I wanted to go back to the states to fight a red light ticket. Kids, don't ever do something like that. See everything you can while you're in the area. You may never be back.

Whats the criteria for these? I couldn't find anything about that on the website.

For instance, the Statue of Liberty could maybe considered a "wonder of the world" from a cultural point of view. But other than that, its not a particularly impressive statue (in terms of being better than most of the world).

The same could be said of the Eiffel Tower.

I think that the Hagia Sophia has to be awarded one of the seven places. Englineers today still don't know how the roof holds up.
