[ QUOTE ]
I've just learned of another FT hacking issue that is taking place in the HS NL forum here. I'm trying to get caught up on it but here are the links. It starts with the guy having all his accounts hacked into. He thinks it came via an AIM convo with another player when he thought he was downloading HH's to look over. This guy then goes around to other sites including Mansion, etc and asks for them to transfer him $1000 to some other account in return for $1200. A few other people in the thread say they have been hacked/scammed similarly. Really scary stuff. link link [/ QUOTE ] just read those and it is messed up. Not so much that he was hacked. That happens and FT can't babysit everyones account. However, their delay in responding cost this guy thousands. Again, FT support needs to spend some of those millions they make on support upgrades. Otherwise they will continue to lose customers. |

[ QUOTE ] Im actually like 2 hours north of Columbus in this big ol' town of Tiffin. [/ QUOTE ] How much would you have been willing to wager that nobody who read this thread would even have heard of Tiffin let alone been there? [/ QUOTE ] Pretty sure there's lots of people on here in Columbus and I'm sure they've almost all heard of Tiffin at least. I've been to Tiffin as well! |

agree on all points.
Would find it difficult to trust my money on FT to be as safe as I would be comfortable with. If I played there I would definitely keep a very limited balance on there. Also should serve as a reminder to keep a very limited balance on neteller as well. I know that if you're playing high-stakes NL it's not uncommon to need $20k or something between FT and Neteller. But you can still pull a little bit out to your bank as best as possible and attempt to minimze your risk. Obviously try not to get hacked or open infected files too. I've heard it's pretty bad if you do that. |

The string of emails posted by OP make it painfully obvious that the FT employees responding neither know what to do nor care enough to take the time to find out. That is nothing but piss poor management. The two threads that MicroBob links to show how dangerous that attitude is to us as players. 12-16 hours to respond to emails because they "had some issues" and NO phone support? And some poor bastard is now out $25k, some of which looks like it could have been prevented. That to me as a customer is thoroughly unacceptable. |

Clearly they have not been able to accomodate for the growth post-uiega. It's really showing and looks pretty ugly. This is getting really bad though. Someone from their site has to address these issues soon... [/ QUOTE ] How about that new guy? FTPStealth, wasn't that his name? They need an experienced public face to handle this - maybe Mike O is looking for a job? |

Congratulations Full Tilt, you have the dumbest [censored] customer service on the planet. If Stars ever gets a real form of RB I am gone from your site instantly.

Mike O just sent me an e-mail a couple weeks ago saying my party-points were about to expire. I think I had about 200 left. Yippee.
Anyway, don't think he's looking. And he became the not-very-public rep for party around here. FTP's CS problems and miscommunications seem eerily similar to Party. But their image on these forums is at least that they are making some sort of effort to improve. So that's something. If this were happening on Party I can almost guarantee we wouldn't hear from them at all about it. But on FT I'm guessing that this thread has caught their attention, they've already been addressing the issue in whatever meetings, and will offer some sort of statement on here at some point. Obviously it's pretty bad that it takes a thread on here to catch their attention in the first place and I'm sure they're aware of that. But at least we can assume a good chance they will respond to concerns here. With Party it eventually got to the point that there was zero chance of that happening. |

[/ QUOTE ] MicroBob - Yes, I realize that Mike O was always missing in action here whenever it counted. That was just my sarcastic attempt at humor, a way of saying that I'm not greatly impressed with FTP's performance in response to some of the recent scams that have been posted here. We've had FTPDoug periodically sharing info, which is good. And there's also the new guy, who I referred to as "FTPStealth" because he hasn't really begun to get involved, and there have been a lot of cases where he should have been jumping in with both feet. At least FTP has an apparent intent to make a plan to create a strategy for dealing with customer issues someday. They really need to get moving. Remember that Party, despite all their lovable bumbling and fumbling, had accessible support; they couldn't read or write, but you could pick up the phone and call them. And the company could be counted on to eventually do the right thing. FTP is still light years away from that. Net/net, after reading all these threads, I can't believe that people in the know (including all 2+2 readers) keep any significant cash on FTP. For now, and for the forseeable future, Stars looks like the only game in town. |
