[/ QUOTE ] So, I interpret this as a call/fold-situation on the river. Lets do some more maths (and please correct me if Im wrong): We have 6.5 outs meaning around 14% chance of winning. We are winning 8 BB if we hit (we agree that villain will bet the river), we are losing 1 if we dont (since we dont call unimproved). So 14%*(8BB) - 86%*(1BB) = +0.26 BB. So calling is +EV.
