There are only 2 ways to play this hand IMO. Calling preflop and then folding on the flop is mind numbing.

Poorly played.

I play at about 1/5 of these stakes. But I have a question for folks in this thread: Assuming that villain thinks like you guys, he is hardly expecting samo to fold much in this spot. So do you think he really open-pushes with AK? What about QQ? With QQ it seems somewhat suicidal for him to open-push -- is he ever getting called by anything worse?

I obviously have no idea how the game plays at these stakes, so I'm just genuinely curious about what folks think.

if there is one thing i've learned from 2p2, it's that the consensus means nothing

Cats, what you have said is exactly correct. Unfortunately, this is a case where I cannot reveal the specifics of my thought process of why I played it as I did. It is specific to the opponent and the effective stack sizes. I usually provide plenty of insight into my thought process, but this is one case where I feel like it is not in my best interest to do so.

Given that, I didn't even think this hand was worth posting (as I will play it very differently against different opponents and different effective stacks). But I posted it just because the other guy asked me to.

Samo, please PM me your thought process for this hand and poker in general. I won't tell anyone.

If he tells you to play hands like this then you will not be a winning player.
