you shouldn't even wear a blue shirt to a wedding (or a funeral) - you need to wear white. you should also wear only a blue or black suit.
black shirts with ties are a bad idea. a gray suit - think sharkskin - with a black shirt - open collar/no tie is sweet for dinners etc, but don't try to make fashion statements at someone else's special day.

[/ QUOTE ] believe me... i make no fashion statements (i was just going for what i assumed to be a sensible choice.... which i guess it was not).... and both shirts (the black and the blue one) have gone by the way side i'm gonna look very proper and daper at the wedding and very "i say old boy" and country club at the reherseal dinner
