So I decided to watch some of the sngs from pokerxfactor and I found the one where they chopped...It was sheets against premier in a $555...They started hu with sheets having 8200 and Permier having 4200. They chopped it evenly, as sheets said permier was going to ship him the 472 or whatever it was...Im not accusing anyone of hanything, but all im saying to the kids that attempt to play these is to watch out. [/ QUOTE ] dealmaking in sit and gos should be strictly forbidden. When someone knows they are getting an even chop as a shorter stack, it drastically effects the correct play for the players involved and this strategy adjustment could hurt the third player who isn't privy to any deals. Regardless of whether the players are meaning to do anything wrong, I believe its a terrible practice for Stars to allow at the high level games. |

They don't usually given even chops to shorter stacks and if they made it illegal people who know each other would continue to do it under the table.

Im just saying, if two people have a deal to chop 1st+2nd if they are headsup, it changes the correct theoretical strategy for them. Anytime a deal affects gameplay, which it should in the above case, then it's bad for the game regardless of whether anyone is actually colluding. This is especially true when they buyin is freaking $500+!

Anyway I have just sent a long detailed email to stars support about why dealmaking in sit and go should be illegal, and its mostly reserved for those players that have prearranged deals to split the pot if they are headsup. I think that for players on this forum it should be clear how harmful such a deal could be to the integrity of a sit and go, whether or not any collusion was really involved.

It should definitely be forbidden. That said, I got HU in a 225 a few days ago as a ~4000/8000 dog with BB800 and the other guy offered me an even chop. I took it.

Does stars actually facilitate a SNG chop?! If so that's ridiculous.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't really think its a big problem because I don't think anyone is actually doing it. However I also think they should take the option away. How come I'm only offered a chop when Im up like 200-300 chips? |

I dont think stars straight up does the chop for them. Apparently they talked on AIM or something and permier shipped the money to sheets.
