i wanna know how far gone is too far gone to go through a metal detector

[/ QUOTE ]Aside from the simple observation that he's essentially a stateless individual that lives with his dog on a boat, let me try to demostrate with three anecdotes.

1) In one discussion, my grandmother and uncle were discussing how he sails around naked. Gran wasn't a big fan of this idea and Dave didn't understand why the heck he needs to wear clothing if he's out at sea in his boat.

2) My uncle drinks a bit. He got up before the rest of us and made coffee. Shortly after drinking a bit of coffee, he would start putting rum in his mug while the rest of us kept up with the coffee. He did this so my grandmother wouldn't see him drinking that early in the morning.

One night we went out bar to bar, I was drunker than I think I had ever been in my life. We ended up, after the bars, going back to his boat for bong rips and rum. We (mostly he) killed the 750 of rum before I gave in. Those were fun conversations.

3) This one is actually an old story from my mom. When Mom and my dad were living out in Idaho, uncle dave stayed with them awhile with his dog, Steveo. Steveo started to misbehave so Dave decided a good way to train the dog would be to put a choke chain around Steveo's nuts. Suffice to say, the dog listened after that.

Just got back from Foxwoods and have a few observations:

1. Live poker is so rigged.

2. Met Diamond. I figured this forum was full of [censored] like me but turns out he's a good guy.

3. Seeing the look on someone's face when he gets all in with 99 v. AKs and see his opponent flop the royal is quite amusing.

4. Winning a huge pot at 1/2 NL when three people call your $50 reraise preflop and your AA holds up unimproved is fun.

[/ QUOTE ]

Likewise haha. I honestly never met anyone on 2+2 besides Mike Mac. But I knew Mike Mac before I joined 2+2 so...

Anyways, lunch on me next time. It was awesome seeing you play that MTT and sitting down to play some 1/2 w/ you. Also, avoid 3 outers on river and you will win more. Maybe some more guys can come down for a bigger meet sometime in the future?

[/ QUOTE ]HAHA, I can actually see that. The only thing is I'm pretty sure he would find Vegas the most vile please in the universe.

Bengie: My buddy and I are thinking about chartering my uncle's boat with him as the captain for a vacation one day. I'm sure the events that came out would make quite the story.

Two more Uncle Dave stories...

1) While some might find his techniques of training animals a bit... harsh, he's always had a dog and takes care of them. When Steveo and Dave lived in Alaska, Steveo took a tumble down the side of a ravine. Dave couldn't get him out by himself, so he called in some friends at the coast guard that he formally flew helicopters with. They airlifted Steveo out.

2) Another story from when he was up in Alaska... some ranger ended up coming to my uncle's place. My uncle is one of those people that's 'one with nature' and prepares his own food. He had some eagle feathers that he found on display out in front of his house somewhere. This was/is illegal even if you didn't kill the bird yourself. The ranger found my uncle around the back of this house breaking down a deer with a big old knife. Picture a deer being vertically draw and quartered with all four limbs roped to two posts. The ranger let him off with a warning and didn't get too close to my uncle.
