Hi imitation,

I don't know how I could go back now to the slow grind of full ring.

I have had the same thought also but I think when I get to 15/30 that would be a big challenge to beat so that should be exciting for me. I don't know if I can ever enjoy playing at 2/4 .

Thanks,

Guido

Hi Highlife,

I'm sure this has been brought up before but what do people think about sharing PP screen names to stay out of each others way in 6max?

I don't mind 1 or 2 other good players at my table. I'm still learning. When you pay attention, you will know who the good players are in no time. I wouldn't want to know there names to avoid them but to play with them.

Thanks,

Guido

I'm thinking of creating a thread to be bumped and brought to the attention of new posters who ask the typical questions. It seems we all have the same basic questions when we first show up, and answering the same question over and over is a little boring for the longer term posters. Any help would be appreciated.

That what the purpose of this thread.

Thanks,

Guido

It's a great idea to compile all the most valuable posts into a sort of HU/Shorthanded primer or FAQ. I wish I could get one for how to play NL. Anyway, I'd like to contribute what I can.

Few months back I asked a question about when it is appropriate to induce bluffs. King Yao replied with a wonderful breakdown of when and where it is appropriate to use this play. I still refer to his post when I think about checking the turn through or checking the river when first to act.

Default Thanks much!

Fantastic group of posts there, Guido. Just getting back into shorthanded myself, and was feeling all depressed bcs of the slide I just went through -- I'm not going to embarrass myself by telling y'all how few BBs it was, though .

Yep, 100BB to 150BB slides are not uncommon -- god that's annoying!

Default Defending SB

To all posters:

I don't want to start a new post to ask this question since I'm sure it's been asked a billion times, but what range of hands will you usually defend with in the SB (both 5/10 and 10/20)? Assume typical Party table, typical loose-aggro but bad Party button, and typical loose-aggro but bad Party BB. What range of hands will you 3-bet? What range of hands will you just call?

Replies or links to other posts are greatly appreciated thanks.
