Hire a maid to come 1 day a week. I only pay $100 cash ever Thurs to have all laundry done/folded, vacuum carpet, clean bathrooms.

Suckers. In Argentina, my maid will be coming Monday, Wednesday, Friday of every week and will be doing all of my laundry, dishes, and house cleaning for the whopping rate of $2/hr.

I will also be having a private chef prepare my dinner Sunday-Thursday at the cost of $5 per meal plus grocery expenses (so maybe $10/meal at worst).

Total cost per month of ~$160-200 for all my cleaning, laundry, dishes, and cooking. It is going to be awesome.

You suck at this. You obviously don't live in the crappy areas. Recoleta and Palermo are both very, very nice areas. Also, your image appears to have some sort of problem. There are lots of latinos (so it appears in the crappy image quality) which comprise less than 3% of the population and are almost exclusively immigrants.

Some better photos:

Edit: And yes this one...

Way off topic....

Cliff Notes: Grew up in Bay Area. Knew lots of the hyphy artists personally before they got big. I'm happy to see them succeed finally. I also find the avatar mildly amusing.

Exactly, I have no intention of mixing in with the poorest parts of the city. I do intend to take advantage of cheap things like $5/hr spanish lessons, $3 haircuts with shampoo, and whole host of cheap "adventure sports" type things to do.

Way back on topic (when did this become the Argentina thread?)... what is cost for laundry pick-up in most major US cities. I'm assuming it is per pound and I remember hearing like $1-1.50 per pound, but I think that was dropping it off. Can I get them to come pick it up and how much is that?

I had a washer/dryer in my last place in the states so I never bothered because it was easier to do it myself while playing than go somewhere to drop it off, but thinking back if someone would come get it, I would have preferred that.
