You are saying the win rate is easier in NL......seems like the swings would be much greater and harder to recover from a series of bad beats in a month in NL

You are saying it is easier for a pro to win consistantly in NL vs Limit? seems like the swings would be much deeper and the suckouts harder to overcome in a month? please explain?

[/ QUOTE ] The swings are bigger in limit, a winning player in no limit is more likely to be a winner in i.e. a 30k hand period than a no limit player. In no limit the winrate normalizes quicker so to speak. |

why would this be? Are you saying you can stop the bad player from chasing too much by your bet sizes? Is that the reason ?
Please explain more. |

[/ QUOTE ] In limit your influence on the outcome is smaller, say we play at the same table and the only main difference between you and me is that I find some marginal +EV turn checkraises you don't find, still maybe my play only has a positive real outcome (not EV) 55% of the time, after 30k hands I may very well be on loss from those plays. A bit stupid example but limit is full of these things. |

OK, makes a point. so tell me. If I feel I am a solid player....why do I play NL vs limit? how do you approach it. online NL seems hard to know without any reads.

NL is more psychological, limit is more logical (both has elements of both, of course). Try both, and you will see what fits you, NL seems to be the game having the biggest future though.
