I've just run across only one trash talker today too. Danish guy bashing Israel.

So what is the currency in use on Party now? I would imagine they have no use for chips in US Dollars. Have they switched to the Euro?

The single biggest difference I noticed after the US-players left, besides that the player base was cut in half, was that there were extremely little trashtalking and bashing going on.

[/ QUOTE ]
There could be a shock effect after seeing half the players banned. The remaining Party players may be a little less self-centered and a little more appreciative of what they have.

Let's wait and see how people are behaving in a couple of weeks.

That sounds like a really bad idea. U.S. dollars are the closest thing around to a world currency. It's not like all non-U.S. players live in the EU. Think their vital Canadian customers would warm up to seeing Euros?

The Brits won't like euros either, but if party were to change over some or all games to euro ones, then since the euro is worth more, they would be raking more, which is what they want. The euro isn't worth close to twice as much, so players couldn't adjust simply by dropping down 1 stakes level.

The names of other sites are now censored by the profanity filter. "Tilt" = XXXX, "Full" = XXXX (that ought to be interesting), "Stars", = XXXXX, "pokerroom" = a whole row of Xs. I haven't tested everything, just dropped in to the play money games to confirm it.

Just put a period in the middle of the words. That worked with swear words. Say "all the americans have gone to Fu.ll Ti.lt and Po.ker St.ars".

I predicted a more polite environment, since I have always had the impression that the whining was 90% made by Americans, and from the little I played today this was actually a remarkable change, no insults etc.. I have always meant that the fact that things take place on the internet is not a valid excuse to be rude, even versus unknowns, some traits in life are more fundamental and more important than being good at poker/making money and most non-Americans seem to agree. Was quite nice actually to have a work environment without the constant whining . Especially nice to get rid of the wannabe American 2+2-tags who whine everytime I reraise them with i.e 56s and call me a fish/donkey etc. even though it makes them totally misplay postflop so they actually become the fish. Funny though was watching a discussion between 3 fish discussing how sad it was that all the American fishes had left (one of them outfished all of America I would guess ).
