[ QUOTE ]
And when the players didnt like a dealer?...they got pulled out of the box and another dealer was sent in. Some dealers were taken OUT of the games they were in up to 3 times to go deal this game. [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly why they keep wearing out their welcome at most every casino and keep going back to Bellagio. Well, one of the bigger reasons. This primadona type of behavior is absolutely pompus and ridiculous. If they want a robot, go home and play on the internet. Full Tilt (when they're not down) will give them 1k/2k with no questions asked and they can get 3x the amount of hands per hour and have nothing to bitch about. |

Hi fishhead:
Perhaps I'm missing something, but isn't a dealer's job roughly the same whether it is a ultra high limit game or a much lower limit game? You seem t be saying that when you deal an ultra high limit game, that you deserve and are entitled to a much higher wage (mostly in tips) than you are at any other game. Following through on your logic, why doesn't Caesar's (or any room for that matter) increase the wage of dealers who are dealing in the higher limit games. Furthermore, continuing with your logic, it seems to me that you are also saying that dealers make far too much when they deal low limit games. As for dealers being pulled out of the box, I have made that exact request on a few occasions in my poker career. Usually the cardroom turns me down, but there have been times when they agreed and the dealer was given a break. best wishes, Mason |

When I played at the mix game at the Aladdin, they had placards from the Bellagio - I asked them about it because the Poker Room Manager was sitting in the one seat.
He said that Doyle ect, left them after they played the big game upstairs at the Aladdin. He seemed pretty proud to have hosted the game for awhile. Where else have the played / burned? |

[ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't mind making 18 dollars a half hour. 72,000 a year plus the base salary, minus breaks. I wouldn't want to have to deal with crap from those low life, high limit players. [/ QUOTE ] There are dealers that can't make this much, but if they are getting to pick and chose their dealers they are getting ones that certainly can. Also do not underestimate the number of breaks that dealers take. |

Hi xCEO:
I disagree completely. Recently, an example of this occurred in the Wynn Cardroom with their hiring of Negreanu. As far as I could tell, the fact that he played someone a heads up match for a lot of money back in the corner had no impact on their business one way or another. Best wishes, Mason |

Hi fishhead,
I can't be certain about this, but Celine Dion's husband likes to play poker and he'll often play in the very high limit game. I suspect that may have something to do with the game being at Caesar's. Best wishes, Mason |

Where else have the played / burned? [/ QUOTE ] I dont know about the "burned" but I know they have played at Sam's Town, Aladdin, Excalibur, Caesars, Bellagio, Golden Nugget, Binion's, and I'm sure other places that I'm not aware of. |

This is amplified in a place that only has a few dealers that are able to deal the big game so they have to deal it more than once in a day. |

Randy is telling you true. Dealers don’t like to deal the high limit games because it is more stress for less money. If you doubt that, just ask a few dealers who have been in the situation.
As for the $72k/year ... Many dealers don’t actually work 40 hours / week; when games go down or business is slower than expected, the dealers go off the clock. Even when they are on the clock they aren’t always sitting down pushing cards; dealers get a lot of breaks ... and they need them. And don’t forget that their salary is minimum wage ... their paycheck is pretty much zeroed out, being taken for taxes on claimed tokes. |

These stories and stories like these I hear on a daily basis is the reason I'll stay at the smaller poker room I work at now. Why go through all those hassles as a dealer?
