FWIW I still don't think that 10% is attainable in longrun at the $530s. And please don't come at me with how I never played them. I played a few of them, and I played tons of tourneys with almost every single player that was a regular $530 player.

u think phil ivey wouldnt beat the 530 regulars for 10%? the avg to win tourney length is over an hour. there is ZERO doubt in my mind, that 10% is DEFINITELY doable. not EASILY doable. but definitely. as far as the stars 1k turbos.. thats up in the air, ive played a few and am still getting a feel for the players.. however, since joey is wanting prop bet action and odds and u think 10% is impossible, i might just propose something like.. oh.. between me and joey, one of us could get 9%+ over something like 1500-2k sngs. obv id want 50kish on it otherwise its not worth the time and ill just play nl cash, but i think this would be a fun bet, and if yer so sure, u have action from at least me.

i will say this though. playing standard 2+2 donkey icm only nothing creative no thought style will NOT beat them for much more than 5%. you have to open up your game a bit if you want this to work, and i think its far from impossible. holla

I don't think 10% is IMPOSSIBLE. For instance I wouldn't be at all shocked if I, or any other number of good 2+2ers were able to get 10% after like 1000-2000 sit and gos. However I don't believe that would be their true win rate.

were pissing in the wind with then a speculation contest that will never be concluded. holla

If it took you that long to come to this conclusion. I will edit my earlier post to just say it looks likes z32 is right.

Well bigjoe never actually said they were all speeds. Possible there were a bunch of regulars mixed in.

[/ QUOTE ]

I dont really ever remember him playing any regulars. I'd estimate they were at least 95% speeds, possibly up to 99% speeds. I remember at one point I was playing regulars and he asked me how I got in so many of them, until I reminded him the regulars ran too.

My roi in 1,500 530's was 11%, and there are players way better than me there, obviously. So while yeah, that no doubt was the result of running well, and may not mean very much, I think a top class player could have beat them for 10% for sure, at least if they played them the same hours I did. And I played about 85% speeds, 15% regulars. I have no idea about the Stars 1050s though, since to me the player lineups look much tougher, and they aren't even taking place when I can play most of the time.

Listen, I obviously overreacted to begin with. Suggesting that 10% ROI is possible is not that absurd, even at the $1050s. I don't think that anyone can have that expectation given the current state of the game but ok its not a "ridiculous statement".

What was ridiculous was the comment that there are 4 good players and that everyone else was terrible. That combined with the 10% longterm at $1050s, is what set me off to begin with.

ok ok, my bad, when i said everyone was horrible that was stupid. Honestly, i dont even remember writing that, and I'm kind of upset that I did. What I meant was that I was shocked at how many mistakes the "top regulars" were making. Thats all. I retract everything else.

Now unfortunately, since I allready said it, If curtains or anyone else wants I will bet 100k that I will have a 10% roi or higher at the 500s on stars with over 5k played in a few months or so. Im unwilling to bet on the 1ks since I am unsure how many will run and I dont want to go through all the trouble to set up a bet that will be unable to be carried out. I do not really want to make this bet but I said I would put my money where my mouth is....so its out there if there are any takers.

And they were all speeds.
