Tough stack size to play if he calls your raise, but still. F- it, Push. It's better than limping I think.

I don't see what's wrong with raising to 3k. Doesn't seem like it makes things difficult. Pot'll be 6.6k + antes, and you'll have 17k in your stack. You have room for 2 bets... so you have room for a c-bet/fold or a push if he bets and you like your hand.

I mean.. I agree that seeing a flop with 88 in a limped pot is better but limping doesn't give you a chance to steal the blinds and limping could lead one of the shorties to overpush a hand that they may have folded if you raised.
