Hand from late in wednesday $300

BB (chipleader): he's played good, he's won like 10 of 20 hands, been using the chiplead well, just recently (30-40 hands ago, right when he came to the table) got the chiplead with like back to back big pots. he pushed over a donk bet w/ AK on a J high flop, and then won a big pot after calling a raise in the big blind w/ 94s (but he played his flush draw well on the flop)

I was very aggressive on the bubble, but after it broke (27 paid) i went card/situation dead and hadn't done anything in 15 hands.

Rest of the table was nothing special, a bit tight.

Eh?

if it's not interesting just tell me if you think it's right (better than folding/raising/pushing)

If you're planning on limp/pushing his raise, OK fine. Otherwise...blaaaaahh.

I think at this point in the tourny it's just way too likely that you get raised here, and too many of the raises are pushes.

You've got a pretty big stack to be pushing, but I ran it through SnGPT, and pushing is +cEV against any range, so folding's not an option.

I think it's standard raise > push > call > fold, but anyway, I don't like the call, and I think a raise is pretty clearly better because it gives you FE.

Edit: SnGPT is without ante.

I think its best to standard raise. You have the ability to fold to a push with enough behind to be ok. There is asolutely no need to push. UTG raises are scary, remember!

**Edited bc it looked like I was being sarcastic to the post above**

little messed up now, so sorry for trhe poor phrasing.

I think that the most likely outcome from my limp is that i'll see a flop, either heads up w/ CL, or with another limper. Then i either flop a set, or take it down with a flop bet, that would have way more FE than my pf raise.

most likley if i raise standard raise, BB calls, and i'm in a not terrific spot.

During the hand, i never thoguht to push, no idea why not, beacuse as of now, i think thats the right way to go.

Your UTG noone is reraising with less then 1010 here AQ+ unless your an agressive maniac. You said it was a pretty standard table. Pushing all in your best outcome is picking up the blinds, the worst outcome is you go bust

Re: Hand from late in wednesday $300

i wasn't worried about getting raised by a weaker hand, my problem with raising is that i ghouth BB was calling me, a big % of the time.

Basically, i thoguht i'd be seeing a flop w/ him if i raised standard, or if i limped. so i limped.

I don't know why i didnt consider a push, but i like that.
